Time to deal with money

Well, every couple of weeks I sit down and settle up my money matters, pay my credit cards bills and figure out how much I have to spend in the upcoming time. It's a fairly simple task, complicated this time in that I need to payback marnan for various expenses of TorCon and I owe Robert for the various Bujold merchandise I bought off of him.

One of the few redeeming features of Count Vronsky I found in Anna Karenina was that he sat down twice a year and actually managed his finances. His myriad other failings did sway me, of course, and the fact that managing his finances only happened twice a year and involved a great deal of deciding which debts he could put off the longest strikes against my formerly Protestant soul, but at least he did it, which is far more than can be said of most noble characters in books, like Eugène de Rastignac in Old Goriot. For that matter, Goriot himself gives me extreme discomfort when I look on his choices. I guess this is why I take literature courses...
