Trying to decide how to end my time here.

I'm getting a bit worn out, really getting ready to just get back to being an American in the States. See family, all that stuff. Also, being home means I can live at home, where I don't buy my own food and where I can get a job and so avoid abject bankruptcy. This whole living off savings thing sucks.

So I've only seen 1/2 of New Zealand, only 1/4 or 1/6 if you could "where people live"...
So I need to see people in:

How does one do that in the cheapest rational manner? Particularly when it looks like the cost of flying into Dunedin from Sydney is about the same as flying from Auckland... which means if I can squeeze in a ticket TO sydney from somewhere I was already going in NZ, I get another country/continent for free.

Gah. Too complicated, working out routes and stuff like that. I'm just blah.
