Am tempted to create a spreadsheet to find out what % of Heyer male leads have invented, designed or modified a neckcloth knot to the envy of society. Also, if there have ever been any women in the stories who are simultaniously 1) Old enough to be a lead's mother, 2) Smart, 3) Not evil or mean. It really seems to be a "pick two" situation from my memory.
