  1. beer drinking:
It's fun, it tastes good, and some women like it. What's not to love?
  2. chocolate:
It's fun, it tastes good, and almost all women like it. What's not to love?
  3. dog and duck pub:
With locations in Austin (near campus) and London, UK the Dog & Duck is a nice little pub. Also, they sponsored the British comedies like Red Dwarf on latenight KLRU (our PBS station) when I was growing up.
  4. filking:
Songs about Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and all sorts of things. Often to tunes you know (do the Capitol Steps could as filkers?), or sometimes not. Funny stuff all around.
  5. intelligence:
Is this the field, the career, or the trait? Either way, I'm often interested in it.
  6. monty python:
If you need me to tell you why I like Monty Python, well, I'm sorry.
  7. powerbook:
I have one. It's soldiered on through 4 years, 3 screens and 2 keyboards, and I'm glad it's done so well.
  8. sci-fi conventions:
Really places to meet friends and have parties, to me.
  9. strategy and tactics:
Important to know, if you're ever cast into an alternate dimension or two thousand years in the past and need to build a small empire to stay alive.
  10. yeltar:
    I can't explain. You're either a part, or you're not.
